Chittum Burl Trout Fly Boxes
Handcrafted fly fishing boxes sculpted from rare American Chittum Burl. Featuring dense eye clusters, deep tiger-stripe figure, and a smooth high-gloss finish—an heirloom-quality companion for stream-side anglers and collectors.
Heirloom Craftsmanship for the Stream
Handcrafted from rare Chittum Burl hand-harvested by Darrell in North Alabama and South-Central Tennessee, these fly boxes bring North America’s rarest wood to the world of fly fishing. Designed to protect your finest trout flies, each box blends functional utility with artisanal beauty.
Exquisite Figure & Radiant Finish
Sourced from the American Smoketree, Chittum wood is celebrated for its tight eye clusters, dramatic contrast lines, and intense natural chatoyance. Sanded smooth and finished to a high gloss, these boxes shine under sunlight and reveal stunning depth from every angle.
Guaranteed 1-of-1 Collector’s Piece
Every wooden blank is air-dried and personally inspected before crafting. Because no two burls grow the same, each fly box is a unique, 1-of-1 piece—making it the ultimate gift or heirloom for serious anglers.
